A Certificate of Appreciate was given to long-time IRC Metropolian Planning Organization' Citizen Advisory Committee Member Deryl Seemayer by the Sebastian City Council. Seemayer has been representing the City of Sebastian since 2003 on the MPO.

The Certificate of Appreciate was presented to Deryl Seemayer by Sebastian Mayor Jim Hill.

The Certificate of Appreciate Read:

Be it known that Deryl Seemayer has given exceptional service to the MPO Citizens Advisory Committee for the responsibility assumed and the unselfish service rendered to the community on rendering the duties of good citizenship. This token of achievement is hereby awarded, presented this 23rd day of March 2022.

Seemayer, when presented his Certificate of Appreciation, said “just want to thank you, lving in sebastian has been the greatest. I remember the first time I came up, my mother was driving me, we were meeting some friends up here

Seemayer spoke about his love and appreciate for the City of Sebastian since he first visited with his Mother a few decades ago, when they stopped in to see some friends of his Mother. He said during his speech that “living in Sebastian has been the greatest.”
