No-Compromise 2nd Amendment Gun Advocacy Group, Gun Owners of America, has recently put out a petition, asking for a Special Legislative Session in the Florida State Legislature to pass Constitutional Carry and Open Carry in the State of Florida.
Constitutional Carry is when there is no requirement to get a gun permit to be able to conceal carry a firearm. This is based on the idea that a person should not have to have a “permission slip” to use their Constitutional right to keep and bare arms. Currenlty 24 States have Constitutional Carry.
Constitutional Carry legislation has been introduced for the past few years by State Rep. Anthony Sabatini (R-Howey-In-The-Hills). However, the bill has not gotten a committee hearing due to an on-going dispute between Sabatini and State House Speaker Chris Sprowls (R-Palm Habor), over Sprowls inaction on Constitutional Carry.
