Shawn Frost Announces Run for RPOF Vice Chairman

December 16, 2023

Indian River County Republican Executive Committee State Committeeman Shawn Frost announced on December 13th, 2022 his run for Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF). The election will be held on February 18th, 2022.

Frost released a public letter to Republicans announcing his run, his platform for Vice Chairman, prior experience and his endorsements.

“politics is a team sport, and we are truly on a winning team.

I will work to prove that I have the time and resources, leadership experience, temperament, and strategic talent to be the Vice Chairman who will strengthen the GOP team to Keep Florida Winning.”

Frost said his Build the Bench initiative “exemplified how I believe the RPOF functions best: locally lead and statewide supported and I was proud to be part of that team win.”

Frost intends to travel across Florida to get to know Republicans across the State in the coming weeks and listen to Republicans on suggestions for changes and improvements to the Republican Party. He said the listening will help the party to keep winning in the State of Florida.

Frost also plans to resolve internal conflicts that have wracked many Republican Executive Committees across the State of Florida. He is a trained mediator and conflict resolution expert.

Frost said he knows both current candidates for RPOF Chairman, Evan Power and Christian Ziegler, saying he has worked well with both candidates in the past few election cycles.

Frost said “I am running one race and focused on winning my Vice Chairman’s election, unless something drastic happens, and will defer to Committee and the Governor if he chooses to weigh in on the Chairman’s race.”

Frost expects the rules to be followed within the Republican Party across Florida and said he is willing to “respectfully work with every Republican at every level to ensure we are whooping up on the left, not each other.” Frost said he has been told by many Republicans following the rules are an important issue in Florida that matter to many Republicans.
