The Indian River Mosquito Control District will be holding a Town Hall on Thursday December 8th, 2022 6PM.
The venue for the Town Hall is the District Office at 5655 41st Street, Vero Beach, FL 32967.
The Town Hall will be aimed at finding out from residents what the district is doing that works, what needs to be improved upon and where residents would like to see the mosquito control district 5 years from now.
The purpose of the Indian River Mosquito Control District is to “control and completely eliminate” mosquitoes and sandflies in Indian River County, Florida. The Indian River Mosquito Control District is also tasked with completely eradicating diseases spread by mosquitoes and sandflies.
The Indian River Mosquito Control District was initially created in 1925 and consists of three Commissioners. The current Commissioners are Janice Broda, Matt Erpenbeck and Tom Lowther
Board Member-Elect Anna Kirkland won election for the seat Lowther vacated in the 2022 Election. Kirkland will be taking office in January 2023.
