Vero Beach Railroad Crossings to Close for Construction Work

VERO BEACH, Fla. — The Vero Beach Police Department has released a press statement informing the public of multiple railroad crossing closures that will be taking place in the area.

According to the statement, the closures will affect three crossings located at 23rd St, 14th Ave, and 26th St, as construction work is carried out by GoBrightline in the area. The closures will last for approximately 30 days, with a full road closure scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 21.

Vero Beach Police has advised motorists to take note of the detour information provided by GoBrightline to avoid any inconvenience caused by the closures. For the 26th St crossing, eastbound traffic will be directed to travel south on 16th Ave. to 25th St., travel east on 25th St. to 14th Ave., travel south on 14th Ave. to 19th Pl. (SR 60 E), travel east on 19th Pl. (SR 60 E) to 11th Ave., travel north on 11th Ave. to 21st St., travel west on 21st St. to US-1 and travel north on US-1 to 26th St. Westbound traffic will follow a similar route in reverse.

For the 23rd St crossing, eastbound traffic will be directed to travel south on 14th Ave. to 19th Pl. (SR 60 E), travel east on 19th Pl. (SR 60 E) to 11th Ave., travel north on 11th Ave. to 21st St., travel west on 21st St. to US-1 and travel north on US-1 to 23rd St. Westbound traffic will follow a similar route in reverse.

For the 14th Ave crossing, westbound traffic will be directed to travel south on US-1 to 21st St. and travel west on 21st St. to 14th Ave.
